An investigation on microstructure and mechanical behaviour of aluminium hybrid metal matrix nanocomposite fabricated through electromagnetic stir casting process

Abstract This study focuses on the microstructure characteristics and mechanical properties of unreinforced reinforced ceramic materials titanium diboride (TiB 2 ) graphite (Gr). Aluminium hybrid metal matrix nanocomposites with varying weight percentage nano TiB (0-12.5 wt. %) Gr (4wt via electromagnetic stir casting process to produce samples. Identification phases analysis are performed through X-ray diffraction, Optical Microscope Scanning Electron Energy Dispersion Spectrum. Mechanical such as hardness, tensile, compression flexural strength were investigated prepared Microstructure images samples reveals uniform dissemination nanoparticles in base diffraction confirms presence particles matrix. Concluded from consolidated samples, improved compared material.
